Okay...I agree...it's hard to find excellent chinese in the valley...but, if you are a fan of mongolian bbq, this place isn't bad...and I'm a sucker for it. Also, I've never had a long wait, even when they are busy. Friday nights I think is their prime rib night which when I had it was good and they had medium rare. The service has always been good for the type of buffet that it represents. I still think 10 bucks for a meal from soup to dessert isn't a bad deal. Just sayin'.

Good food for good price. One of the best Chinese buffets in SLC. They have lots of variety choices- hot and sour soup& egg soup, fruits, fish, sweets, ice cream, chicken etc.

Supposed to be open until 10, I got there at 9. They never refilled any of the food. Almost all were empty. Noting special as far as the items they had. This was a mistake.

Pretty decent. Good grub for your buck. I'm from Texas... where everything is bigger and better.... Chinese is my favorite food and when I moved here it was pretty depressing because I couldn't find any good Chinese Buffets... well, Panda isn't the best I've ever had but it is the best Chinese buffet I've found in SLC. Their Wontons are the best!!!! On the weekends at dinner time they have ribs which are delicious! I love to mix their Hot & Sour Soup with their Egg Drop soup 'bout 50/50 and then add a bit of soy sauce... it totally goes!! Pricing is pretty good considering I've been to many restaurants where they charge separate for drinks. The cashier is very moody. Sometimes she is very social and nice but most of the time she looks mad. LOL.

This place is not to be confused with the disgusting Panda Restaurant on State Street. A guy took me to that place on a date five or six years ago and I haven't been back since (though I did, for whatever reason, go on another date with said guy, but I digress). Yes, this is the other Panda, which is on North Temple kind of on the west side, and can be made on my way to work. That's how I find myself here. I'll be working a shift where I can get lunch on my way in, get a (guilty, guilty) craving for cheap Chinese buffet food, and here I am. Is it good? Yes. Is it really good? Well, no. But the place is clean, the price is right, and they have that exceedingly yellow egg drop soup (which was so yellow it was orange last time) and the tasty fried treats and those stuffed crab thingies and, well, you know. Sometimes cravings happen, and that's what the Panda is for.

Pretty decent for a buffet. Really what you'd expect. Food was good and the variety was decent. $10 is a bit much for the weekends, but overall it was good.

This is probably the best $8 (included tax and drink) per person buffet that I've ever had around Salt Lake area. The food is not amazing, but overall is better than few Chinese buffets in town. Owner and waiters are friendly. We will definitely stop by again.

Nothing special....its a chinese buffet. The food is ok. The prices are rediculous. About 7 per person during the week and 10 on the weekends and holidays. WHAT??? Are you serious??? Anyway, like I said, just another chinese buffet, nothing made it stand out from any other

I also agree. Nothing special. Close to home which is why I come here. $7 is pushing it and I don't come on the weekends or for dinner cause $10 is excessive. If you want to be wowed, go to Little World just south of 13th on State St. You'll be wowed by the appearance of the restaurant in contrast to the awesomeness of the food.

I agree with Brian that it is nothing special... The food is decent with the exception of the limited supply of crab legs ...soggy crablegs at that. However the people are friendly and quick to refill drinks. I'm still looking for chinese to WOW me in SLC, but I haven't found that yet... Also, There is corn in the Egg Drop soup...is that strange to anyone else?

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
